FAQ - all your frequent questions answered

How does it work?

perkfon is a full-fledged mobile provider that works with employers all across the UK to offer discounted mobile plans to their employees. It is the only mobile plan as an employment benefit platform in the UK. Employees get access to a subsidized mobile plan that they fully own and manage themselves as a replacement for their primary personal mobile plan, achieving yearly savings of up to £300.

What companies are eligible?

Not every company is eligible for perkfon mobile plans. In general, eligibility is established based on a number of criteria from the public domain (ie. Companies House fillings) and others such as the company's sector, the size of the company and the average salary profile of its employees. The perkfon team meticulously reviews every application to enable perkfon access to as many UK employees as possible and we continuously work on expanding the range of eligible companies.

Why should a company offer perkfon to its employees?

There are many benefits to perkfon. First, perkfon's mobile plans are the cheapest plans in the market, helping employees save up to £300 yearly. The savings can further increase with additional employer subsidy. Second, employees retain full control over the service, without any oversight from the company. Third, employees can onboard additional family members leveraging their exclusive pricing. Fourth, there is absolutely no admin or hassle associated with perkfon - employees manage everything themselves. All of this leads to a higher employee satisfaction which can lead to higher productivity.

Is it really unlimited? And do you offer other plans?

perkfon's unlimited plans are truly unlimited - in some instances though, we reserve the right to limit usage after ~700GB have been used. We currently do not offer other plans as we believe that there should be no limits to our users' voice, text and data needs.

Is perkfon equivalent to other mobile operators?

Yes, perkfon is a full-fledged mobile service that runs on the Three/Vodafone network, providing the fastest 5G coverage in the UK. You can expect the same standards as with any other mobile operator in the country - users can keep their number, roam in Europe for free and do not have to sign any contracts.

What do you mean by "personal" mobile plans?

perkfon exists to allow employees to save on their personal mobile bill. The plans that perkfon offers are used primarily for private purposes (not business-related) and usually replace a pre-existing more expensive private subscription. The plan is paid for and managed by the employee and they continue to enjoy preferential pricing even after they leave their current employer.
